Welcome Adventurers!

When you arrive to Rosewood there will be a Town Gaurd at the docks to meet you and show you the way to the Town Hall and the Adventurer Barracks. I will meet you at the Town Hall, where the Guild Representitives will be present to greet you. You will have an opportunity for sponsorship into the Adventurers Guild if you choose to register at this time.

In preparation for your arrival the Guilds have graciously voted to pay your rental fee to stay in the Adventurers Guild owned barracks. In the future, only those who become members of the Adventurers Guild will be provided these barracks at no cost. There are however State owned barracks to rent if you so choose.

We are looking forward to your arrival.

There's a guild? Is it like a worker's union? Can we picket and stuff?

What if some of us "Adventuring types" don't take any coin (dirty filthy coin) or magical items (items that will consume you!). I for one, take food. I doubt you'd be interested in my food.

If I may Sir Patchfoot, why on Tyrra would a noble make a call to arms for adventurers to come help take care of his town then turn around and make it so that we must join his guild or pay rent to even stay within his city that he asked us to come and protect? Now I understand, that if we were just coming to spend time without direct noble invitation, why we should pay rent, but this is a little ridiculous. Why should I come and pay you to protect your Lord's town or be forced to join your guild?

Master Dracos,

You misuderstand our meaning. As a member of the Adventures Guild let me say that I have grown and been afforded many pirvledges that otherwise would have been denied to me.
No one is required to join any guild at any time. You will still be regarded as an Adventurer with all the respect and staus as your station is required. You can still help any of those in need, and be hired.
What the Adventurers Guild provides is work. The Adventurers Guild will get a contract from Guilds or individuals requesting help or some kind or another. We will then find a appropiate group of Adventurers to undertake this contract. Usually, the contract will have stipulations like, return stolen crates unopened; keep what you kill; bring someone back alive, etc . . . Upon completion of the contract you will be paid for your work.

It is a option for Adventurers, not mandatory. You will still do everything you were able to do before, this is just extra.

It seems like an interesting idea, at the very least. I'll give it serious thought.

Thank you Squire Felix for that very accurate description! Maybe I can provide more insight, though.
In Rosewood there are many guilds! The town is practically a guild house itself!

The guilds at one time decided to come together as a counsel and create the adventurer's guild. They did this to protect their own interests, etc.

So anyways, in order to get endorsed to work for the adventurer's guild, you need to get a sponsorship from one of the guilds in Rosewood, which you will meet. Once you get the approval of a guild you can join the adventurers guild and receive work available to the adventurer's guild by the other guilds in Rosewood. This is basically just to say that someone in a guild of Rosewood has met with you and trusts you enough to do work for the guilds. You can be endorsed by more than one guild. That sometimes increases your opportunity for work.

Yeah though, the adventures guild is mainly just a group that is hired out to work for the various guilds of Rosewood, when said guilds need a task accomplished.

In regards to the barracks and cabins, the guild has bought a number of cabins and upgraded them and made some slight improvements and repairs that are (and we proudly like to think)an improvement upon the city owned and provided facilities.
